How care is delivered
Consultations and hospital-based procedures
Consultation & follow-up
Assessment of symptoms and risk, review of reports, medicines, lifestyle advice and long-term follow-up.
- In clinic at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC), Room 8
- Telemedicine (online) consultations
Hospital-based procedures
Diagnostic and interventional procedures carried out in a hospital cardiac catheterisation laboratory (cath lab).
- Coronary angiography
- Coronary angioplasty and stenting, including primary PCI

These procedures cannot be performed through a telemedicine consultation. Your options are discussed at your consultation.
Interventional cardiology

Acute coronary syndromes and emergency angioplasty for heart attack.
04
Advanced techniques for difficult blockages, guided by intravascular imaging.
Clinical cardiology
Long-term care and prevention
01
Accurate diagnosis, home monitoring and long-term blood pressure control.
02
Diagnosis, guideline-based medicines and self-care for a weak or stiff heart.
03
Understanding your lipid profile, including Lp(a), and lowering your risk.
04
Assessing cardiovascular risk early and reducing the chance of future events.
05
Early identification and prevention of coronary artery disease in younger adults.
Clinical cardiology
Structural and valvular heart disease
Structural and valvular heart disease covers conditions affecting the heart’s valves, walls and chambers, such as narrowed or leaking valves. Dr. Qureshi provides clinical assessment and ongoing management of these conditions, including explaining test results and monitoring over time. Where specialist treatment is needed, your options and next steps will be discussed with you.
Emergency care
Cardiac emergencies
Dr. Qureshi’s experience includes emergency cardiovascular care, including acute coronary syndromes and primary PCI for heart attack. Emergencies must be handled through emergency services, not through clinic appointments.
Emergency? Severe chest pain, severe breathlessness or fainting needs immediate care. Call 1122 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a clinic or online appointment.
